How I use your data:
Your personal data will be strictly confidential and will not be sold to third parties. It can be passed to third parties, where necessary for the operation of the booked tour, such as train tickets for the Swiss Federal Railways, time-slot and seat reservations for mountain railways and aerial cable cars and the processing of the order and payments.
If you decide to contact me, I will collect the following data:
Your name
Your email address
Place of stay in Switzerland; Hotel name or address of an Apartment (for the pick-up on the tour day)
If you decide to book a tour with me, I additionally collect the following data with the payment of the deposit:
your address, including your zip code and phone number
If all participants can walk by themselves (yes or no answer)
last four digits and brand of the credit card that you have used for the payment
your date of birth (the DOB is a security element against the misuse of train tickets)
Your rights:
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express of consent. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect. The data which has already been processed before I receive your request may still be legally processed.
Regarding your data, you have the following rights:
Rectification: The right to correct your data
Objection: The right to object to the further processing of your data
Restriction: The right to restrict the processing of your data
Erasure: The right to get your data deleted, as far as the law allows
(receipts of financial transactions must be stored by law for 10 years)
Access: The right to get information about the data I possess about you

An informal email is sufficient to execute any of your rights. All requests will be answered at the latest within 24 hours of receipt.
How long do I store your data?
Questions or booking requests without a subsequent booking:
Up to one month after the initial request or last reply from either party (whichever is later).
In case of a booking:
Up to one month after the tour date, or tour cancellation (whichever is earlier). Basic transaction data, such as the transaction receipts for your payment, have to be stored by law for ten years, as per Article 958f §1 of the Swiss Code of Obligations.

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries you send to me, this site uses SSL encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address line changes from "http: //" to "https: //" and by the lock symbol in the address line of your browser. If SSL encryption is activated, the data that you transmit to me cannot be read by third parties.
Your email client
Data sent via email over the Internet without encryption is not protected against unauthorized access by third parties.

The data you have provided through the contact form, booking request form, or email is stored on the serves of my email host Zoho Corporation GMBH, located at Trinkausstrasse 7, in 40213 Dusseldorf, Germany. This email host operates in compliance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Live chat function
This website uses userlike UG. This live chat software is produced by the company Userlike UG (ldt), Probsteigasse 44-46, 50670 Cologne, Germany. You can use Userlike to chat with me in real-time. At the start of the chat, the following personal data is collected: Date and time of the chat, browser type/version, operating system used, URL of the previously visited website, amount of data sent, and if provided by you: first name, surname, and e-mail address. Depending on the course of the conversation, further personal data may be provided by you in the chat. The chat widget is loaded as a JavaScript file from AWS Cloudfront. The chat widget technically represents the source code executed on your computer that enables the chat. In addition, SWISSDAYTOURS Mark Huggenberger stores the history of live chats for one day, for easy access, i.e. when having follow up questions. Processing is permitted pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 Book f, GDPR. If you do not wish your live chat history to be stored, please do not hesitate to contact me. Stored live chats and any other of your data will then be deleted immediately. The storage of chat data also serves the purpose of ensuring the security of our information technology systems. This is also my legitimate interest, which is why processing is permitted under Art. 6 Para. 1 Book f, GDPR. The legal basis for the processing of the data provided in the chat is also Art. 6 Para. 1 Books b and f, GDPR.

I use a social media button on my website from TripAdvisor Inc., 400 1st Avenue, Needham, MA 02494 USA. TripAdvisor collects reviews from its users. These reviews are combined with booking recommendations.

All my payment providers are PCI DSS certified (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard).
Webshop (=payment of the deposit)
If you make a deposit through the the webshop on this this site, you will receive automated order messages, such as:
